New place, New post

So I am now officially a college student. It is crazy how fast life goes. I have moved into a dorm room, gone to 1 week and 2 days worth of class and have eaten about 30 meals in the dinning hall. What I have come to discover is...I miss cooking my own food and my mom's food. Don't get me wrong, it is sort of nice not to have to set the table or have dish duty, but those few times when I just want to make some cookies or a pizza are not so easy. The cooking has come to a screeching halt, and for that I am deeply sad. I guess I know what I will want to do when I come home on breaks. Anyways the weather up here in Flagstaff is so gorgeous. As I write this I can hear the thunder and feel the raining breeze coming in my window. Ahh you got to love it! All of my classes for my major are also incredibly interesting and I am learning so much so quickly.

I am posting a picture of one of my latest projects...my dorm room including the pillows I made and the quilt I bought at a local Tucson vintage shop. Hope you feel inspired :)

Shabby Chic

I went to a store called Anthropologie yesterday (a store I love) it has so many cute shabby chic clothes, but it also has things for your house like dishes (hints the plate), anyways I saw these dishes and I thought they were so cute I just had to share them. They are the perfect mix of classic and fun. If you have a chance go to this store I know you will love it.

This is a muffin I made for fathers day. It was so delicious without being too sweet. I smeared strawberry jelly in the middle and pilled a little on top along with whipped cream..hmm yummy!

Brand New

Okay, all who might read my blog, I am new to this whole thing, if it isn't obvious. I wanted a place to post new websites and photos that I really like. I am going to be a freshman at Northern Arizona University this fall, studying Hotel and Restaurant Management. I am really interested in starting my own pastry shop, eventually, once I find the perfect spot and the right time in my life. I love doing event planning and if you ever need and any help, I have a couple ideas up my sleeve. Right now however I am busy wasting away my summer waiting for the big move to NAU and trying to finish all of the last details that go into moving and starting my life in the dorm. Well that's all I can think of for now, I'll keep you posted with all the places the Lord takes me on this great adventure known as life.
