"I'm a Double Fister"

Recently, I feel like I just can't catch up with life. I want so badly to take a deep, relieving breath knowing that I am right on track. I want to be able to sleep at night, like really sleep, not because I'm so tired that I couldn't stay awake, but because I am so excited for the next day. I want to relax and not be procrastinating (like I am now). I want to be able to feel like I am care free. Why does being an "adult" have to be so stressful. I feel like there is no end to the people that need my money, the decisions that I have to make, and the paperwork I have to fill out. Then, lets just throw in finals, work (totally enjoyable though), and moving, AND planning for my internship. I am excited to be leaving school for a semester and leaving all of the extra stuff that school seems to get in the way of. College life, known as the "best days of your life" has also had some of the worst days of my life and has included days when I literally didn't think I would make it to the end.

Now, done with all of that depressing stuff... I am in love with the snow. Its crispness, its beauty, its ability to create spontaneous holidays. I love that it creates fun outdoors and it blankets the earth so perfectly. Of course there are many downfalls to snow, but somehow those don't seem to matter when you are bundled in your winter "gear" and catching snowflakes on your tongue.

Ohh holidays, please come a little faster, but not too fast, I have a lot to do :/

Let's crawl into a cave and hibernate

I am feeling slightly envious towards the bears and any other animal that gets to hibernate. Think about it, how nice would it be to just sleep the cold away and wake up to a new, warm beginning. Really, just the idea of sleeping sounds great right now...

Today I was day dreaming about naps on the big, comfy couch at home in Tucson, falling asleep to a good Hallmark movie, preferably "A Boyfriend for Christmas" (please can I add that to my list...thanks ) and waking up to a delicious bowl of homemade soup!! Yum Yum. I am feeling homesick and so ready for some good Mexican food and turning down the air conditioning so we can wear sweaters while drinking hot chocolate and decorating the tree :) Oh yeahh, and hanging the Christmas lights in shorts, always classy! It seems like the more I try and force Christmas through cold weather clothing and Christmas music, the more it rebels and the further away it gets... I'm screaming IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS... right... RIGHT?! Nothing, just more warm weather and homework :/ yuck.

In other news, I am going to CPR and first aide training this weekend.. Does that mean I have to kiss a manikin, or is that old school? Do I get to organize a first aide kit? That sounds fun. Do I get a special band aide with Disney princesses or cookie monster or anything? I'm not sure what exactly takes up 6 hours when it comes to CPR and first aide, but I guess I can work on my Grey's Anatomy skills. :)

Here's to maybe some snow and a big cup of hot coco!!

P.S. Starbucks and Target have recognized holiday season... Yay for red holiday cups and specialized drinks!

Where is the turkey?

This is the face I am using to describe my day. Kind of a mix of worry, sadness, fear, excitement, and craziness, all mixed into one :/ I cannot wait until thanksgiving break and school is just slowin' me down. Group projects are just awful, let me say that!!

This weekend was so wonderful. If you ever get the chance to live in a smallish town, do it! Flagstaff is in full fall mode, the leaves are changing, and the air is becoming brisk. We had homecoming this past weekend so me and a few friends went to the parade downtown, the football game, AND the hockey game. It was quite a day, packed full of excitement and fun.

On Sunday my pastor talked about slowing down and resting, and I thought that sounded just splendid, so my friend Caitlin and I had a picnic and then walked downtown, looking at all of the small town, cute stores. It was quite a relaxing way to end the weekend.

Then, jumping into today was so completely stressful.. I think I took a little too much break this weekend.. some things fell through the cracks. The hard thing about life is that it happens sometimes, we're only human, and it's working through those things and not letting them get the best of you that is the difficult part.

It was so hard to get up this morning, I so badly wanted to crawl back under my warm covers and put Chris Botti back on and sleep my morning away, however, French was a callin', and if there is one thing I have learned in school... skipping class might seem like a good idea at the time, but when you are getting to school an hour early the next day to take a quiz, you are wanting nothing more than to be in bed sleeping... that and the fact that you probably missed some huge, life altering announcement... trust me, it ALWAYS happens.

The best thing about today is this:
THE MICHAEL BUBLE CHRISTMAS ALBUM IS OUT TODAY!!!! Happy Happy Joy Joy!

Here's to another week closer to Thanksgiving!

I can't wait...

... to start my life as a real professional
... to not have to look for a job (will that ever happen lol)
... to not move my room around every 6 months- 1 year
... to find the guy that makes all the love songs true
... to have my own kitchen and supplies :)
... to have my own little people to show life's lessons to
... discover new faces and places
... find out what God has planned for me!!
... have REAL vacations (aka.. paid vacations!)
... see where my brothers and sister will go in life
... to see my parents as grandparents :)

What is your "I can't wait's"?? Post them here!

This weekend I had a really relaxing break from life. I got a job at a preschool on Friday :) yay! Such an answer to prayer, so I'm sure you all will hear a lot about those little cuties. Then I got to go downtown and have dinner and play games with some of my good friends. Downtown Flagstaff is very quaint and when I say quaint I mean very small too, but non the less, it has character!

On Saturday I was going to wake up at 8...which turned to 9.... which turned to 10... and finally at 10:30 I actually got out of bed. Oh well, that's totally what the weekend is for... right?! So I got all dressed up in my super cute business casual dress and went to school for a coffee presentation and tasting. Tons of fun! I never knew that there was so much to know about coffee. Apparently the event was casual, guess I should read my e-mail now and again :/ Maybe I dress this nice EVERY DAY ;) Saturday night I hung out with a good friend of mine and had a good, old fashioned sleep over!! It was nice to relax and watch too many episodes of One Tree Hill and dumb girly, romantic movies, that is what is needed in life sometimes.

So today I went to church and watched some people get baptized and then listened to an amazing sermon about Elijah and the time he proved the total amazingness of God by soaking the wood with water and then asking God to set fire to the alter.. So amazing! God is so so powerful! This afternoon I planned on sitting down and working for hours on all of my loads of homework I have and I did, kind of. Until I got distracted by Michael Buble, it happens sometimes, you know lol. He has this Christmas album coming out NEXT WEEK! Yes! If you don't know me, something you will quickly find out is that I am absolutely obsessed with MB and I also love the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas... prime time for Christmas tunes :) SO non the less, I am crazy excited for this new album and even thought of pre-ordering it today 1) because I need the cd in the car with the special transitions and beautiful cover and 2) because you get an ornament with it... say what?! Needless to say, I did not finish as much as I was hoping. oops!

Now off to another week... Litigation mid term this week (I'm taking this class... as an elective... why?) and a French oral... I sound about as French as... well.... someone who has taken only Spanish classes :/ it's bad.. I'm like a Spench speaker.

Any ways, because of my miner MB distraction from earlier, I have a ton of French homework to get to..

Happy First Weekday To All

Christmas List Time!

So I know that even though Christmas is forever a way and no amounts of Christmas music or beautiful amounts of snow will change that, but I can dream right! It seems like every year it comes down to those last few weeks and I completely forget what I wanted, so why not start now, plus it's tons of fun!

First Item:

Outfit by Francesca's

I love the beautiful colors in this shirt. It would look great with blue, white, or black jeans!

Random, but I got this hairspray from the dollar store (can't live without it, trying to save money) yeah it was a bad call, it makes my hair smell like man. No joke, I think it's the rip off version of "Big Sexy Hair" but like "Big Handsome Fro" definitely not for girls :/ I think this might attract the wrong type of attention..

Happy almost half way through the week!
